General Information
The twin spindle drive ensures a stable and central pull point as well as a constant, uniform broaching speed.
The broaching machine is specially developed for broaching V- and U-notches according to Charpy and Izod standards in pre-machined square 10 mm standard test specimens.
The CNB-34 produces a uniform notch of higher quality than is possible with milling.
The machine is easy to operate and features a robust construction with removable maintenance covers for easy routine servicing. The design allows for an ergonomic working height.
During the cutting process, a specially designed broaching tool is pulled over the test specimen. The broaching tool is drawn downward into the machine by a gearbox and twin spindle drive.

The test specimen is fixed in the machine using a special clamping device. The broaching tool is lubricated with cutting oil. By pressing the broaching stroke button, the notch tool is positively guided down over the specimen, producing an accurate notch profile. After notching, the specimen must be removed before the tool is returned. The tool is retracted without the workpiece and cleaned of chips generated in the process; only then is the system ready for further operation.
