The pump is made of the special alloy Alloy 59!!
This alloy is used when conventional chromium-nickel steels are no longer sufficiently corrosion-resistant.
Especially when chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking are an issue.

Alloy 59 is used in: environmental technology, chemical industry (chemical processes with oxidizing and reducing acids, resistance to moist chlorine gas), and waste incineration plants. Mainly, 2.4605 is used in the chemical industry, pulp and paper industry, as well as flue gas desulfurization plants.

Outstanding resistance to mineral acids such as nitric, phosphoric, sulfuric, and hydrochloric acid, and especially to sulfuric/hydrochloric acid mixtures.
