CG 3 – Hold-down Point Grinder for Cutting Dies

Equipped with a pneumatic drive for high traction force and a patented hold-down system. Designed for burr-free grinding of hold-down points while preserving the function of the rubber coating.

The pneumatic drive, powered by compressed air, delivers a very high and consistent traction force that is always available, eliminating the need to consider charging cycles or battery replacements. The fabric-reinforced compressed air hose is extremely flexible.

Thanks to the large support surface, tipping during grinding is prevented. This allows the operator to grind the hold-down points straight and precisely at their intended positions. The depth of the hold-down point is set accurately using the depth adjustment.

The patented hold-down system for rubber coatings and ejector materials prevents grinding into the rubber coating or profile. The benefit: fewer and smaller hold-down points are required, while maintaining the performance of the die’s rubber coating. The hold-down point grinder is available in versions for corrugated and solid board. The attachments are matched to common widths of diamond grinding discs for corrugated and solid board.

Diamond grinding discs enable optimal placement of break points. Compared to stone grinding wheels, they are extremely robust and therefore more break-resistant. They are also more durable and sustainable. The scope of delivery of the hold-down point grinder includes the appropriate diamond grinding disc for the device in the desired size.

The manual hold-down point tools are ideal companions for the grinder. The chisels can be used to enlarge the hold-down points as needed after initial grinding. Two manual hold-down point tools are also included free of charge in the package.
