CORMAK HBS320

CORMAK HBS320 double mitre bandsaw for cutting at angles from -45° to +60°. The machine’s design is based on solutions and projects by Polish engineers. Its precision and manufacturing quality make it one of the leading bandsaws for cutting up to 320 mm in width. A key advantage of this model is the latest generation hydraulic actuator. The machine features a reinforced vise base as well as a quick-clamping vise.

Machine Features

The CORMAK HBS320 metal bandsaw enables material cutting at any angle within the -45° to +60° range. The workpiece can be fed manually or by any external feeder. Feed during cutting is gravity-assisted, controlled by hydraulic oil flow within the cylinder. The operator starts the machine with the push of a button and sets the cutting speed. Once the cycle is complete, the machine stops automatically and the operator raises the saw arm to the starting position.

The saw arm is made from a robust single-piece grey cast iron casting. Equipped with a 27 mm wide cutting blade, the HBS320 is ideally suited for series cutting of structural, stainless, and tool steels. The vise is mounted on an adjustable bed and features rapid clamp functionality. Blade guides are fitted with ball bearings and carbide inserts, providing exceptional cutting accuracy and straightness. This system significantly improves blade tracking, its service life, and the consistency and quality of cuts. Carbide guides also reduce wear on both the machine and saw blade.

The base is a rigid body welded from steel sheets. Inside, there is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump. The upper section of the base is formed as a tray for coolant discharge and swarf collection generated during cutting. The base is fitted with a heavy-duty cast iron worktable, featuring a double-swivel arm and a control panel.

Downfeed speed is set directly on the control panel. There are two blade speed options: 44 and 88 m/min. In its lowest position after finishing a cut, the blade drive automatically switches off. Safety is ensured with blade covers and micro-switches that switch off the motor at the end of a cycle or if any cover is opened. Additional protection automatically switches off the machine if the blade breaks.
