The Deckel FP 2 LB universal milling machine is characterized by its exceptionally rigid base construction and is designed as a traveling column machine. This means that the machine maintains its accuracy even when machining heavy workpieces with a weight of up to 1,000 kg.

Another key feature is the 45-degree slant bed. After removing the universal table, this design enables direct clamping and machining of V-engine blocks with a 90-degree cylinder angle, such as American V8 engines.

Additionally, the long travel distance of 800 mm is advantageous for such applications.
