Concept:
Cjdpjw I A Raofx Ad Uehc
The planed workpieces are placed onto the cross conveyor, which serves as an infeed magazine.
Two workpieces are then fed in at intervals and processed sequentially.
A milling spindle mounted on a carriage mills the required radius onto each workpiece in turn.
Subsequently, a saw unit separates the parts after the milling process.
A gripper then holds the piece and guides it through the grinding units for finishing.
1 Automatic Edge Milling Machine:
- 2 x infeed magazines as cross conveyors with 4 infeed belts each
Wood length: min. 600 mm, max. 1200 mm
- Heavy-duty base frame constructed from welded steel profiles
- Milling unit featuring:
- 1 milling spindle, 9,000 rpm, 2 kW motor, variable frequency drive
- X-Z slide with linear guide, ball screw, and NC servo motor
- (Both spindles move synchronously along the contour)
- Saw unit with saw blade, diameter 300 mm, 3,500 rpm, 2 kW motor
- 1 gripper for workpieces, which takes the parts at the saw station and feeds them through the grinding units
- 4 grinding units with 1 kW grinding motors, approx. 800 rpm, manually adjustable
- Electro-pneumatic control via B+R PLC with 10" touchscreen panel, pneumatics by Festo
- Machine includes 2 extraction ports, diameter 120 mm, supplied without milling cutter or grinding wheel, includes 1 saw blade and 1 milling cutter
- Feed axis, right/left, constructed separately, with 2 NC axes for workpiece transfer
- Brushing station:
2 brushes each on NC slide, program-controlled movement to match workpiece dimensions
- Error detection:
Workpiece defects must be marked with chalk in the correct position. A sensor detects the chalk and ejects the faulty part into a scrap chute. The process continues for the remaining parts, bypassing only the defective ones in the brushing unit.
- Central lubrication system, automatically controlled via control panel
- Position measuring system during clamping:
In case of dimensional differences, the control system compensates automatically.
- Waste piece removal via conveyor belt
Finished wood dimensions:
Min.: 32 x 16 mm
Max.: 64 x 62 mm
Finished wood length:
Min.: 32 mm
Max.: 320 mm
Both rectangular and round bars can be processed.
Standard wood length: 1200 or 600 mm (cannot be mixed!)
