Load capacity: 2,000 kg
The turning device consists of two opposing tables, each with a support surface of 1400 x 900 mm. On the side of the table that is positioned at the bottom during rotation, the load-bearing steel profiles are angled 90° upwards to securely hold the plate to be turned in a vertical position during the 90° rotation.
Both tables are arranged opposite to each other and are tilted by 100° using hydraulic cylinders. The tables are mounted on a supporting base frame, with one table fixed and the other movable towards it. Movement is achieved via hydraulic cylinders that can shift the table, which is mounted on rollers, by approximately 300 mm. The base frame also houses the hydraulic and electrical components.
A hydraulic power unit serves as the drive source, supplying oil to the cylinders according to control commands. The respective valves are actuated electrically and/or hydraulically, initiating and maintaining the functional movements of the tables relative to each other until the turning process is complete.
Special attention in the design of the hydraulic system is given to operational safety and precise control of table movement when switching between pressure and tension. Due to the geometry of the tables’ pivot axes, the load impact on the tilting cylinders alternates. The hydraulics are designed to ensure the required performance and prevent component overload under standard operating conditions. Suitable filters combined with a generously sized tank volume provide high availability of the hydraulic system.
The necessary electrical control system is fully housed in a sheet steel enclosure containing all relevant components. The core of the control is a PLC, which processes operating parameters in accordance with the programmed instructions. Additionally, emergency stop functionality and all relays and evaluation units needed for functional control are included. Operation of the turning device is via a control panel with a touch panel for entering function parameters such as Table 1 tilt up, Table 1 tilt down, Table 1 forward, Table 1 backward, Table 2 tilt up, Table 2 tilt down, as well as the automatic start or stop.

To prevent table collisions in manual mode, the PLC programming is designed so that this is excluded via the table position and inclination data.
After resolving an emergency stop situation, the PLC control automatically completes the turning process.
The turning device is equipped with heavy-duty castors and is thus mobile.
We operate several of these devices daily. This unit is unused.
