Roller glue application units for edge banding machines require regular maintenance, care, and cleaning. Collected chips, burnt adhesive residues, and other foreign objects have a negative impact on a consistent, thin glue application. This applies when using EVA hotmelt adhesives and especially for the use of PUR adhesives. When the glue pot is installed in the machine, poor accessibility limits cleaning effectiveness. If the unit is removed—which is quick and easy on most makes—rapid cooling prevents thorough cleaning. In addition, a stable holder for the still-hot glue pot, as well as a drive for the glue roller, are usually missing.

With this easy-to-use device, routine cleaning and maintenance tasks can be easily handled by the operator or maintenance staff themselves.
