The NC joining modules NCFH type 2151B... feature a robust housing that integrates an absolute position sensor and a piezoelectric compression-tension force sensor. The compressive or tensile forces acting on the sensor generate a proportional electric charge in the piezoelectric measuring element, which is converted into an analog voltage signal by the integrated charge amplifier.

The drive motor is an electronically commutated AC servo hollow shaft motor, controlled by a servo amplifier. Constant speed, i.e., consistent traverse speed, is ensured. Standard functions such as joining to a hard stop, programmed positioning, force-controlled joining, and traversing to intermediate positions are supported.
