Design: The saw frame is a welded assembly guided by two columns equipped with preloaded linear bearings. The rigid saw frame minimizes vibrations and enables maximum cutting performance of the machine. The vice, which clamps the workpiece, is designed as a casting. The vice jaws are powered by a long-stroke hydraulic cylinder. A roller conveyor runs through the entire saw, supporting the workpiece along the full length of the cut. The saw is standardly equipped with hydraulic saw blade tensioning, adjustable guides with carbide inserts, and upper blade guidance via a hardened ring on a needle bearing. An electric motor-driven brush ensures thorough cleaning of the saw blade. Drive is provided via a bevel helical gearbox and a three-phase electric motor with stepless blade speed control via a frequency inverter. Cooling system for the emulsion, which is routed to the blade guides. Working movements are controlled by a hydraulic power unit. The power unit features regulating valves for adjusting vice pressure. The saw arm uses limit switches to set the upper and lower arm positions during cutting.
