Safan press brakes are renowned sheet metal processing machines from the Dutch manufacturer, highly regarded on the market.
The SAFAN E-Brake series features machines equipped with electric drives, a technology that has been successfully implemented in our machines for nearly 30 years. Currently, the largest electrically driven press brake model is available with a pressing force of up to 300 tons, and utilizes a patented construction exclusive to the manufacturer.
Lenze motors and servomotors controlled by long-life inverters ensure fast and reliable system operation for many thousands of working hours.
Thanks to the innovative drive system, the machine consumes electrical energy primarily during the downward movement of the ram and the bending process. The ram return is achieved with the force of springs mounted on both sides of the machine.
During standby, the machine virtually does not consume electrical power, as the system does not include a hydraulic pump motor for maintaining system pressure, unlike hydraulic presses.
Energy consumption is estimated to be up to 70% lower than conventional hydraulic press brakes.
Additionally, the electric drive is insensitive to temperature fluctuations that may occur in production facilities.
The machine is perfectly suited for both long and short production runs.
