SCM Topset XL Planer-Moulder – 9 Spindles
1. General Description

The SCM Topset XL is a four-sided planer and profiling moulder designed for the woodworking industry, manufactured by SCM Group (Italy). It is suitable for the efficient processing of solid wood, profiles, and frame components (e.g. windows, doors, furniture parts) in continuous operation.

2. Basic Design and Construction

The Topset XL is built as a robust throughfeed planer-moulder with:
- Horizontal and vertical spindles for simultaneous machining on all four sides of the workpiece
- Belt/cardan feed systems for uniform material transport
- SET-UP quick-change system for fast tool changes
- Electronic control and adjustment of feed speed and spindle positioning

The machine structure consists of a heavy, torsion-resistant base frame made from welded steel, CNC-machined for high precision and durability.
