The MSP 120 ZK is optimally suited for the shredding and subsequent briquetting of various types of metal chips.

The MSP 120 ZK briquetting press with shredder comprises a hydraulic chip press and a pre-installed shredder that are precisely matched to each other. This integrated system enables the shredding and compaction of chips generated from turning and milling processes. As a result, the volume is significantly reduced while the briquettes are separated from coolants (coolant emulsion, oil) that have been absorbed during previous processing steps.

The system consists of a feed hopper for loading the material to be processed, with an integrated shredder that reduces the length of the chips. A conveyor system transports the shredded chips via a conveyor belt, feeding them gradually and continuously into the press hopper. Here, two augers convey the material into the compaction chamber.

The system includes a monitored liquid collection tank and a pump. Collected coolants can be returned to the production process. Cycle control is managed by a PLC and an electronic level sensor, monitoring the fill level in the hopper. On request, the system can be optionally equipped with a tipping device for manual loading.
