Engine: Schönebeck 6-cylinder, 4-stroke diesel, model DM 6 VD 14.5/12-1. Based on research, engine output is either 170 or 220 HP from a 10-liter displacement. These engines are economical: for canal operation at 8–12 km/h, fuel consumption is 6–8 liters per hour.
