These scraped surface heat exchangers can be used for the heating process of various products, such as tomato paste, puddings, margarines, oils, mayonnaise, etc. We have completely refurbished these units by replacing internal seals, rings, sandblasting, repainting, fitting a new stainless steel frame, installing a new control system, and performing motor testing and maintenance. Given: * Diameter = 6 inches, so radius ( r = \frac{6}{2} = 3 ) inches. * Length ( h = 6 \text{ ft} = 72 \text{ inches} ). Calculating the volume: [ V = \pi \times (3)^2 \times 72 \approx \pi \times 9 \times 72 \approx 2036.75 \text{ cubic inches} ] To convert cubic inches to liters (since 1 cubic inch = 0.0163871 liters): [ V \approx 2036.75 \times 0.0163871 \approx 33.39 \text{ liters} ] STEP 2: ESTIMATE THE TURNOVER RATE The turnover rate depends on the speed of the VOTATOR and how often the chamber contents can be processed. With a shaft speed of approx. 367 rpm, you can assume a turnover rate of about 1 turnover per minute for a basic estimation.
