1.3 Headstock
The spindle collet diameter in the headstock is 240 mm. The face plate diameter is 620 mm. The chuck jaws are hydraulically adjustable from 80 to 620 mm. Both concentric and offset adjustment modes are possible.

The face plate speed is adjustable between 5 and 500 rpm.
Speed range 1: 5 to 143 rpm
Speed range 2: 17 to 500 rpm
Speed range overlap: Range 1 goes up to 120 rpm, Range 2 starts at 80 rpm.

By switching from turning to milling mode, the face plate serves as the C-axis and is capable of rotation speeds from 0.01 to 2.5 rpm.

1.4 Tailstock
The tailstock features a quill with 200 mm diameter and a travel of 300 mm.
Movement of the tailstock quill is performed either manually via a push button or automatically via M functions.
The quill compensates for workpiece thermal expansion, which is activated by M50.
The tailstock base moves on a motorized slide, which is actuated either by a push button or automatically via the programming of function M55 H…. Clamping of the tailstock base and quill is performed automatically.
