CHIRON FZ08MT

This machine is equipped with a 2-meter LNS bar feeder, enabling it to fully automate the production of milled and turned components directly from bar stock.

On the main spindle, there is an E162 collet chuck with a bar capacity of Ø10mm. The bar feeder itself is designed for material up to Ø65mm. Additionally, the machine features a pneumatically operated two-jaw chuck, allowing for comprehensive secondary machining operations on the rear side of the components. Finished parts can then be unloaded by an integrated gripper and placed onto the conveyor belt.

The machine was retrofitted by CHIRON specifically for precious metal machining. This predominantly involved enhancing the machine’s seals and replacing the swarf conveyor with a type of drawer fitted with a fabric filter.

- High-speed spindle with HSK 40 interface and high-pressure coolant (max. 40,000 rpm and up to 80 bar)
- Oil cooler and chip filtration unit
- Kraft and Bauer fire extinguishing system with optical sensor

- Integrated tool breakage detection and tool measurement
- Tool changer with 64 positions
