Product Features
The universal metal band saw, model CORMAK BS 712 R, allows cutting in the vertical and perpendicular plane to the axis of the material, or at any angle within a range from 45° to 90°. The feed during cutting is gravity-based, using a two-chamber hydraulic cylinder with oil flow. The appropriate arm descent speed is achieved using a valve regulating oil flow between the chambers. The desired linear speed of the blade is obtained by changing the pulley ratio between the worm gear and the drive motor. The cutting arm is made from profiled spheroidal cast iron, ensuring rigidity during operation and absorbing all types of vibrations. The control panel is placed on the saw arm. The drive system for the saw blade consists of two cast iron wheels - the first is a tension wheel (adjusted by a lever), and the second is the drive wheel. Torque is transmitted directly to the drive wheel from the worm gear, which in turn is powered by the electric motor. The correct blade tilt angle is set via a set of bearing rollers. The machine base is a rigid steel sheet cuboid with an internal coolant reservoir and coolant pump. Attached to the upper part of the base is a coolant tray and chip collector. The cast iron work table is mounted on the tray, featuring a vise for securing the material, and the band saw arm is attached here. The vise is equipped with a fast-clamping mechanism.

The lower base of the pedestal includes holes for axle fitting of wheels. Cutting safety is ensured by an electrical system meeting all CE standards. The machine is equipped with a limit switch that stops the machine after the cutting process, an emergency stop (mushroom safety switch), and a range of microswitches that turn off the machine if, for example, the belt guard or blade guard is opened. Additionally, this model, unlike the competition, is equipped with a wire brush that cleans the cutting blade from chips—preventing blade clogging and ensuring more efficient cutting.
