Horizontal band saw for metal with a swivel arm enables cutting in a plane perpendicular to the axis of the material and at any angle between 0 and 60°. The drive from the electric motor to the drive wheel of the saw blade is transmitted via a MECHANICAL gearbox (not belt-driven). The saw blade is tensioned on two cast iron wheels using a manual tensioner and guided through a set of bearing-mounted rollers.

The material to be cut can be fed manually or by any mechanical device, while the feed of the tool is achieved by gravity through oil flow in a two-chamber hydraulic cylinder. The appropriate arm descent speed is achieved via a valve regulating oil flow between the chambers. The blade guides are equipped with bearing-mounted rollers, which has a significant impact on blade tracking, service life, straightness, precision, and cutting quality.

The rigid arm is constructed from PROFILED CAST IRON. The control panel is mounted near the arm.

The base is built as a sturdy welded body made from steel plates. Inside, there is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump. The shape of the upper part of the base serves as a tray for draining coolant and collecting chips generated during the cutting process. The base supports a cast iron work table with a swivel arm and a control panel on a separate arm. During the cutting process, the main cutting motion is the movement of the saw blade, while the feed is provided by the arm's descent. The descent speed of the arm (cutting speed) is regulated by a hydraulic cylinder.

When the arm reaches its lower position (after completing the cut), the saw blade drive is automatically switched off. Safety is ensured by guards covering the saw blade and micro-switches that stop the motor after the cutting cycle is complete or when any guard is opened. An additional safety feature automatically shuts down the saw in the event the blade breaks.
