CORMAK HBS275 Bandsaw for cutting pipes, profiles, and bars is widely used in all metalworking shops where precision, quality, and cutting speed matter. This model is equipped with a swiveling arm from 0–60°, and the saw guides are based on carbide inserts. The frame design ensures accurate and quiet operation.

Machine Features

This is a horizontal metal bandsaw with a swiveling arm, enabling cuts both perpendicular to the workpiece axis and at any angle between 0 and 60°. Material can be fed manually or by a mechanical device, while the blade feed is automatic. The blade guides are fitted with special carbide plates and bearings, significantly improving blade guidance, longevity, accuracy, and cut quality. Carbide guidance greatly reduces wear on both the machine and the blade. The machine features an efficient cooling pump in a closed-loop coolant system.

The bandsaw arm, made of a single cast iron piece, combined with a 27 mm wide saw blade, allows for efficient high-volume cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vice is mounted on an adjustable bed and features a quick clamp. The blade guides are equipped with carbide plates and a roller bearing system—the CARBIDE GUIDES are crucial for cutting straightness and precision.

The arm is equipped with an automatic blade tension sensor and is inclined by 25 degrees, increasing blade lifetime. A cleaning brush is attached to the underside of the arm for optimal blade cleanliness and performance. The machine is driven by a worm gear transmission.

A cast iron worktable with a swiveling arm and a separate control panel arm are mounted to the base. In the cutting process, the main cutting movement is the blade feed, while the feed mechanism is the arm descent. The descent rate (cutting speed) is controlled by a hydraulic cylinder.

Feed rate is set on the saw's control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 37.5 and 75 m/min. Upon completion of a cut (when the arm is in the lower position), the blade drive automatically switches off. Operator safety is ensured by blade guards and micro switches that stop the drive motor when the cutting cycle is finished or any guard is opened; an additional safety feature automatically shuts off the saw if the blade breaks.

The drive is transmitted via a motor with a worm gear.

The motor is equipped with a thermal fuse to prevent overheating during operation.
