CORMAK HBS275 Band Saw for cutting pipes, profiles, and bars is widely used in all metalworking shops where precision, quality, and cutting speed matter. The model is equipped with a swiveling arm (0-60°), and the saw guides are made with carbide inserts. The frame construction ensures accurate and quiet operation.

Machine features:

The horizontal metal band saw with a swiveling arm allows cutting perpendicular to the axis of the material as well as at any angle from 0 to 60°. The material can be fed either manually or by any mechanical device, while the saw feed is automatic. The blade guides are fitted with special carbide plates and bearings, which have a significant effect on the blade guidance, durability, straightness, precision, and cutting quality. Carbide guides greatly reduce machine and blade wear. The machine is equipped with an efficient coolant pump in a closed-loop system.

The band saw arm is made from a single cast iron piece. Along with the 27 mm wide cutting blade used in this saw, it enables batch cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vise is mounted on an adjustable bed and features a quick-release clamp. The blade guides are fitted with carbide inserts and roller bearing system. It is precisely the CARBIDE INSERT GUIDES that are responsible for precision and straightness of the cut.

The arm is equipped with an automatic blade tension sensor and is inclined at a 25-degree angle, which increases blade life. A cleaning brush is fitted to the bottom of the arm for optimal blade cleanliness and performance. Power transmission is via a worm gear drive.

A cast iron worktable with a swiveling arm and a control panel mounted on a separate arm is attached to the base. During cutting, the primary cutting motion is the movement of the blade, with the feed ensured by the arm’s descent. The descent speed (cutting speed) is regulated via a hydraulic cylinder.

Feed speed is controlled from the saw’s control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 37.5 and 75 m/min. When the arm is at its lowest position (after the cut), the blade drive turns off automatically. Safety is ensured by blade guards and micro-switches, which stop the motor after the cutting cycle is complete or if any guard is opened. An additional safety feature is automatic shut-off if the blade breaks.

Power transmission is via a motor with a worm gearbox.

The motor is equipped with a thermal fuse to prevent overheating during use.
