CORMAK HBS275 Band Saw for cutting pipes, profiles, and rods is widely used in all locksmith workshops where precision, quality, and cutting speed are crucial. The model is equipped with a pivoting arm adjustable from 0 to 60°, and the blade guides are based on carbide inserts. The frame construction ensures accurate and quiet operation.

Machine Characteristics:

This horizontal metal band saw with a swivel arm allows cutting perpendicular to the axis of the material as well as at any angle from 0 to 60°. The material can be fed manually or with any mechanical device, while the tool feed (arm descent) is automatic. The band guides are fitted with special carbide plates and bearings, which has a significant impact on band guidance, tool life, straightness, accuracy, and cutting quality. Carbide guidance greatly reduces wear on both the machine and the saw blade. The machine is equipped with a high-efficiency cooling pump with a closed coolant circuit.

The saw arm is made from a single cast iron piece. Combined with the 27 mm wide saw blade, this enables high-volume cutting of both profiles and solid materials. The vise is mounted on an adjustable bed and features a quick-release mechanism. The blade guides are fitted with carbide plates and a rolling bearing system. It is precisely the CARBIDE INSERT GUIDES that ensure the cutting accuracy and straightness.

A robust cast iron work table is fixed to the base, with a swiveling arm and a control panel mounted on a separate arm. The main cutting motion is generated by blade travel, while the feed is handled by arm descent. The descent speed (cutting speed) is regulated by a hydraulic cylinder.

Feed rate is adjusted on the saw’s control panel. Two cutting speeds are available: 37.5 and 75 m/min. When the arm is in the lower position (after finishing a cut), the band drive is shut off automatically. Safety features include blade guards, micro-switches that stop the motor after the cutting cycle or when any guard is opened, and automatic shutdown of the saw in the event of a blade break.

Power transmission is via a motor with a worm gearbox.

The motor is thermally protected against overheating.
