Design and Technology

The heart of the CORMAK TORNADO 460x1000 lathe is its massive, precisely machined cast-iron bed, providing stability in all conditions. The spindle with D1-8 mount, fitted on a reinforced bearing system, ensures high rigidity and smooth operation at speeds from 25 to 2000 rpm. Thanks to hardened and ground gear wheels, the spindle transmission stands out with exceptional durability and quiet operation.

Precision and Performance

The integrated digital position readout in X and Z axes enables precise tool positioning, resulting in high process repeatability. A fast traverse joystick simplifies carriage control and shortens setup and changeover times. The threading dial allows the operator to engage the carriage at the correct moment without manually counting thread leads.
