Grimm

The system is designed for the automatic induction hardening of screws and bolts, sizes M8 and M10. The system was built by Grimm Zuführtechnik and is configured for approximately 70–80 parts per minute (depending on component type). It features numerous monitoring capabilities, such as temperature, component height, component type, rotation, and more.

Parts are conveyed from a bunker conveyor via a steep conveyor onto a linear sorter, and from there individually fed into an 8-position index table, with 2 nests per station.

A 50 kW high-frequency generator from IDEA is connected, which provides additional monitoring options (energy consumption, earth fault monitoring, inductor flow and water temperature monitoring, etc.).

The system is equipped with its own quench water tank, from which parts are removed by a magnetic discharge conveyor. Afterwards, the components are demagnetized.

Quench medium filtration is performed via a cartridge filter.

Both the system and the generator are pre-configured for connection to a central cooling system.

Please note that due to currently disconnected cooling, the system is only partially operational. However, it is available for inspection by interested buyers.

The system was built in 2019 and, due to the effects of COVID-19 and subsequent order cancellations, has unfortunately never been operated continuously. The condition is as new.
