HENRI HAUSER OP3 – Unique Piece / Excellent Condition! (Bienne/Biel, Switzerland)

Coordinate Drilling Machine/ Jig Borer in exceptional condition from second ownership (41 years with previous owner). Electrical system partially overhauled and modernized. Extensive tool package in as-new condition included, complete with HENKA tool cabinet. Machine purchase possible with or without tooling.

The machine was last operated in a prototype workshop in a large industrial company and has not been used for many years.

This coordinate drilling machine is equipped with the rare option of motorized table drive in the X and Y axes, controlled by potentiometer. Tedious manual positioning of coordinates over long distances using handwheels is therefore eliminated. Additionally, it features rare thermal stabilization and elongation compensation; for this, two heaters are provided, which can and must be activated independently before operation to ensure high accuracy and precise pitch measurements. This explains the factory-specified high positioning accuracy of 0.002 mm, with a resolution of 0.001 mm.

A unique feature is that this Hauser comes with two Heidenhain digital readouts and a total of four glass scales with a resolution of 1 micron, including for the quill feed. This is a major advantage for precise drilling and fine depth planning using Wohlhaupter, spindle tooling, etc. With these options and in this first-class condition, this is truly a unique item on the market and is most likely irreplaceable.

Experts are well aware of the value of these masterpieces of mechanical engineering, which are primarily used in the watchmaking industry, precision engineering, material testing, and optical industry. Also ideally suited for test laboratories, technical colleges and vocational training, materials science, special machine construction, etc.
