The Kaltenbach sheet metal processing center is ideally suited for steel construction, steel trading, and plant engineering applications. Standard sheet metal plates up to 1,600 mm width, 6-60 mm thickness, and 6,000 mm length, as well as sheet strips and flat steels with a minimum width of 100 mm, can be reliably fed through the system using the gripper measuring device. The length measuring system on the X-axis consists of a double-gripper measuring carriage with a hydraulic clamping gripper.

For flame cutting, either an oxy-fuel cutting unit or a Hypertherm plasma cutting unit is available. Typically, sheet metal plates up to a material thickness of 30 mm are cut with the plasma unit, while thicker materials are cut using the oxy-fuel torch. Both torch cutting units are equipped with remote ignition, flame monitoring, and automatic height and distance control.

A high-performance cartridge filter system ensures effective filtration of cutting gases generated during plasma cutting.

The drilling spindle delivers a drive power of 26 kW and spindle speeds from 150 to 2,000 rpm. A 6-position automatic tool changer enables fast and automatic tool changes. The drilling unit is suitable for both carbide-tipped and solid carbide tools, which you can source cost-effectively from Nenok, including the suitable nencool micro coolant lubricant. Center punching, countersinking, and thread cutting are also possible with the appropriate tools.

The system is equipped with a marking unit for embossing letters and numbers.

The sheet metal processing center is supplied complete with an infeed roller conveyor for 6,000 mm long sheet plates, as well as an outfeed table with integrated rollers. The infeed roller conveyor is equipped with 3 cross transfer devices.
