Second-hand – German fire brigades.

In use since 2012 with a small volunteer fire department, very little but regularly used.

The tanker fire engine (TLF) was fully operational until 07/11/2025 and was deregistered on 13/11/2025.

High off-road capable chassis with reinforced leaf springs.

All differentials lockable (3x).

6-speed manual transmission with low-range gearing. Third gear does not always hold entirely, which was already the case in 2012 when the previous municipality purchased this TLF from the original owner. This issue has not worsened and has never caused problems during operations. The truck runs flawlessly and is always reliable.

Single tires from DOT 2017 (size 12.00R20, CONTINENTAL winter tires with legally required snowflake symbol, all tires in good condition).

The maximum speed according to documents is 95 km/h, according to the speedometer, it can exceed 100 km/h.

Last documented service was at 89,815 kilometers (at a MAN Truck & Bus authorized workshop).

The external box dimensions of the superstructure are approx. 4.88 m length / 2.47 m width / 1.33 m height.

Overall vehicle length is just 6.61 m.

This means the 1124 AF, despite its large extinguishing agent capacity, is extremely maneuverable and even today matches the high operational value of much more modern vehicles.

The purchase price is the final gross=net amount in accordance with §25a German VAT law. This so-called “differential taxation under §25a UStG” means no VAT is added; likewise, VAT cannot be deducted from the purchase price. This is because the vehicle comes directly from a government agency.
