OctoFrost IQF 7/2 LH tunnel freezer

Well-maintained Octofrost IQF 7/2 LH tunnel freezer operating on ammonia (NH3). IQF stands for Individually Quick Freezing and is specifically designed for freezing smaller food products rapidly. This helps prevent ice crystal formation within products such as vegetables, berries, cheese, meat, and fish. The freezer is complete with infeed/outfeed conveyors, control cabinets, evaporators, and a Siemens Simatic control panel. Products are placed onto the infeed conveyor at a height of approximately 1560 mm. They are then transported through the Octofrost via a vibratory belt. The belt features a drop section to separate products and remove excess external ice. The belt measures approximately 8100 mm in length and 850 mm in width. Once the product has been frozen to the desired core temperature, it exits via the discharge at a height of 1250 mm. The freezer features three inspection hatches, allowing for product checks while on the belt.

The OctoFrost is equipped with two NH3 evaporators that ensure the product is frozen down to a core temperature of -18°C. There are seven centrifugal fans, each directly driven by an ABB M3AA 132 MB electric motor with the following specifications: 50 Hz – 11 kW – 1450 rpm – 630 mm diameter. These fans blow air upwards through holes in the belt, preventing the product from sticking to the conveyor. The side panel is extendable, allowing for easy inspection and cleaning of the evaporators and fans when needed.

Additionally, the Octofrost is delivered with the corresponding control cabinet, fitted with seven ABB frequency inverters for the conveyors, three Key Technology MFS 268 XL frequency inverters for the belt vibration, and a Siemens panel for freezer control.
