This is a condensate interrupter produced by Rational. The condensate interrupter is suitable for Rational combi-steamer models SCC/WE 61/62/101 as well as CM/P 61/62/102.

The condensate interrupter generates an accelerated upward flow of steam and other vapors from the vent pipe. This allows vapors and steam to be safely directed via piping into an extraction system.
