Grinding a drill bit is done in three steps. First, the drill bit is clamped appropriately in a fixture, followed by grinding and tip thinning. Finished in less than a minute!

Before clamping the drill bit, the drill diameter is set using a rotary knob on the grinding machine. The drill is aligned with the appropriate collet in a fixture and clamped to the stop in the machine’s left holder.

Grinding the cutting edges as well as the thinning is straightforward. Switch the machine on, insert the drill with the fixture into the right holder, gently rotate from stop to stop – first cutting edge is done. Then the fixture is rotated 180° and the second cutting edge is ground.

Tip thinning is performed the same way, just in the upper holder. That’s it. Now simply switch off the machine and unclamp the drill bit.

A brilliant concept combines an eccentric with a special grinding wheel in such a way that there is no need to worry about the cutting edge shape or clearance angle. Additionally, both cutting edges are produced with exactly the same setting, guaranteeing optimal cutting symmetry. Furthermore, the point angle can be freely selected between 90° and 140° before grinding.

High-precision collets for diameters from 8 to 30 mm ensure concentric clamping.

The grinding wheel service life exceeds 3,000 uses. In addition to the standard CBN wheel for HSS tools, we also offer a diamond wheel for carbide drill bits. Changing wheels is a matter of seconds with just a few steps.

The compact design of the drill bit grinder and the practical carrying handle make it easy for mobile applications. As nearly all system tools such as collets, fixtures, or Allen keys are housed on the machine, everything you need is always at hand.
