The system first performs an edge trim at the front of the cardboard in order to remove any possible transport damage. After this edge trimming, both sides are trimmed by a minimum of 30 mm each. Additionally, if required, a corner section is removed from the cardboard, depending on the FEFCO type. Finally, the cardboard is creased at the folding lines and conveyed out of the machine.

The resulting waste is transported outside the machine via a waste conveyor located underneath. At the machine's discharge, there is a conveyor belt that disposes of the waste into a container. If the edge trim is too long, it must be cut down inside the system to ensure smooth removal from the unit.

The cuttings and products are conveyed to the folding table, where the boxes are erected and filled. In the Box Closing Unit, the boxes are sealed, labelled, and discharged from the system.
