The separator is designed for the mechanical and maintenance-free separation of metallic contaminants from process media. The core working element is a magnetic drum made of stainless steel, which attracts ferromagnetic particles from the flowing coolant as it rotates. The collected contaminants are subsequently removed and conveyed out of the work zone.

The removal of captured particles is managed by a shaft system:

- Magnetic shaft – provides capturing and retention of metal particles during separation.
- Rubber-coated pressure shaft – stabilizes contaminant removal and assists in directing them into the waste container.

The separator also includes a tank to ensure controlled flow through the separation area. With this construction, the unit can operate in a continuous, repetitive cycle, removing contaminants without operator intervention.
