Integrated Pick-and-Place System for Industrial Component Placement Technology

The DS Place was developed to reduce the high integration effort required by traditional pick-and-place solutions. In many projects, robots, feed mechanisms, vision systems, and controllers are procured separately and integrated via interfaces. This leads to increased coordination effort and prolonged commissioning times.

The DS Place is designed as a fully integrated turnkey system.

System Components:

- SCARA robot
- Camera-based part detection
- Automatic feeding via material hopper and pick conveyor
- Integrated PLC control

Functionality:
Parts are automatically conveyed from the material hopper onto the pick conveyor, detected by camera, and then precisely placed onto a discharge conveyor or transferred to a subsequent system.

Technical Features:

- Throughput: up to approx. 1,200 parts/hour
- Suitable for metal, rubber, wood, and plastic parts
- Maximum part length: approx. 30–35 mm
- Gentle handling
- Interfaces: TCP/IP, optionally PN/PN coupler, 24 V I/O
- Commissioning: set up, teach handoff location, start
