Offered here is a Weiler Praktikant VC lead and feed screw lathe, year 1999, in very good condition. Control is provided in conjunction with a Weiler precision centre lathe for the following functions: Graphical display of travel paths and direction, graphical representation of the measuring system on the lathe, calculation of tool corrections, zero offset for workpiece position compensation, radius/diameter switching, graphical display of the main spindle rotation direction, graphical display of the machine's speed potentiometer position. A very fine lathe with AC infinitely variable drive for the work spindle. All slides run very smoothly and evenly. Even at high speeds, the Weiler runs quietly. This newer generation of Weiler lathes is very user-friendly and can produce ground-like surface finishes. The digital readout makes operation even easier and more precise.
